New to cannabis? Have no fear!

I know many of you are new to cannabis. Or maybe you smoke a joint back in the day but now you are interested in using cannabis as a medicine. People want to get rid of their pharmacsticals that don't work, are addicting or the side affects seems like they could hurt you just by them alone.
So many people especially in medicinal cannabis states are turning to cannabis.
They like me have watched the Dr. Sanja Gutpa's "weeds, 1,2,and 3" and have made the choice to ask a doctor if they would recommend cannabis for their particular aliment or disease.
I am blessed that I work in a California dispensary for almost 7 years.
I have learned to grow my own medicine, but use it in a variety of ways to help me with my personal issues and chronic pain.
If you are blessed to live in California then you to can go to a cannabis dispensary. ( after you get your doctor's recommendation)  Unfortuately while many state have medicinal marijauana programs many state do not yet offer a store front or "dispensary" to go and get your medicine. Each state is different, you need to know what the laws are where you live. and please remember cannabis is still federally illegal in the eyes of our government. However like prohibiton, states rights in this case of cannabis allow citizen in their state to follow their states rules. Sounds a little crazy at 3:30 am but it is when I write the best.
If you scroll down to the bottom of my blog you will notice that much of the beginning has to do with the benefits of raw cannabis juicing. I will continue to leave it on here because I has great informations and tips on raw cannabis.
Basically I try and teach patient this, learn to grow your own medicine ( if its legal in your state) and learn to make the products you like and need.
If you don't know what products you may like or need and yes some of it you may not be able to just whip up in your kitchen. I am creating this blog site to provide information to new cannabis users. I want people who need help learning about how to use cannabis to have a friendly, fun blog to read. I will do how to videos on everything from how to use those new great vape pens to how to roll a joint. Because I work with patient at a dispensary, it really is a kid in the candy store experience, and it can be a little over whelming to remember it all.
So I am changing over my raw cannabis juicing blog to make it the cannacritic. Along with trying out buds, and concentrates, hash and edibles, I also want to try cannabis equipment with videos so you can see if you like it before you buy it. I would love the Volcano cannabis vaporizer, but for $500+ I would want to be sure I would love it and use it.
Tip of the day: Unless You have mad cash and you don't care if you loose it, don't spend hundreds and hundred of dollars on glass that can and will break, or cannabis accerories that cost so much that you can't afford the medicine you need.
I hope you all check back to my blog in January and see all the great changes and improvements!!

#710 Orange cream shake recipe

There are all kinds of great recipes for infused cannabis, the latest and currently most popular is the trend of infusing your edibles with "concentrates, aka oil, wax, #710, shatter, crumble, hash"
Why I like to use oils in my cannabis recipes is because one you don't taste that "green" cannabis taste, and secondly using concentrates a .5 gram can make a personal treat an awesome experience.
You feel the "concentrate" kick in a lot faster, it lasts longer and it's just a totally different "high" in my opinion. Play with the recipe and use what you have. If you like a certain flavor, or milk product use it. I learned long ago that the lipids in the milk (or milk like products) help bind to the cannabis and make your experience a lot stronger.
I love orange cream shakes, so it seemed fitting to infuse it with something cannabis. And since I keep hearing that everyone wants "oil" infused edibles. "No trim, No green taste" Using oils or concentrates gives your shake a great taste, and the oil high is extra special.
I really thought using oil in edibles was for easier concentration and process in making it. But after eating and drinking edibles made with oils, and waxes, and shatters I love the high even more. To me it comes on faster and strong and even lasts longer than most edibles. I love #710 edibles.

Cannabis reviews coming in January!

This cannacritic has been all over IG spreading the word and reviewing cannabis products to share the info with others.
Starting in January this blog will have weekly cannabis reviews. How -to videos, video reviews and much more.
First up, is my review on the 12th annual Emerald cup at the Sonoma county fairgrounds.
Lot's of people have gone to cannabis cups, other's dream about it, I am going to give you my cannacritic review on how it went and what my opinion was.
With more and more patients enter the cannabis community, there is going to be more people wanting to know which products they should try, and what other people think about the products too.
So start watching for cannabis review on the latest and greatest cannabis products.
and how to video's for those new cannabis users.
Check back on this blog, on other articles you maybe surprised the information you can find here.
Also, write and let me know what products you want to learn about and have reviewed.
I am really wanting this blog to become a place were people can learn how to use the cannabis they are trying. It is sad, how often patients say to me "my doctor couldn't tell me how to use the cannabis they recommended" or they went to a head shop and were kicked out for using the "wrong words"
I know it will take some time, but between my knowledge and your questions I am hoping this blog becomes a full service blog for everyone's needs.
So while I work on getting the blog running by mid January please write me to what you want reviewed. And coming up next is my review on the 12th annual Emerald Cup, here on this blog.
For those who used this blog for all the raw juicing articles, they will stay right here. So please continue to read them, and ask anything you want to know about cannabis. If I don't know it I will try and get you the answer.
My hopes are to review every kind of product that is used and needed from industry products like buds, and concentrates to infused edibles and topicals too. I also want to do reviews on cannabis used products, like which are the best trimmers/ scissors to use. What products work the best.
Pipes, papers, bongs and basically everything is being made for this quickly growing market. And patients and recreational cannabis users want to know what other users think about the products and accessories too. I have been a California 215 patient for 12 years now. I have worked in the industry producing and growing patients medicine for 8+ years. I have worked as a bud tender in a local Sonoma county dispensary for 7 years. Where I have educated myself and others on how to make and grow and produce products homemade. I also have a small edible company providing medicine for patients at one dispensary in Ca. I feel blessed to have been able to learn so much. Have people teach me how to make products, teach myself then teach others too. Using cannabis and using what works is more important than anything else to me.
Check back at my blog at another time to see what I am up to, and let me know if there is something special you want reviewed!

MAKE THE RAW CANNABIS JUICE DREAM A REALITY

I have heard over and over how much people enjoy and appreciate this raw cannabis juice blog. But I I feel lost, because I cannot get the raw leaves and buds for patients to use. I can't get growers to donate or deliver the raw fresh leaves high in thc-a AND cdb's to patients. I am sorry that this blog will be changing it's content about raw juicing into info about cannabis products available to 215 patients here in California. Maybe one day when we have studied cannabis more in it's raw forms. And doctors and patients want to use THC-a and CBD-a (raw cannabis more) there will be a larger need to continue to blog about the benefits of raw cannabis juice.
I will leave all of the articles, posts and blogs from other up for people to read, but for now it will be changing to follow my new passion. Reviewing the latest and the greatest in cannabis products for patients in California.  I want to provide written reviews on events, products and more. I want to have canna-videos to educate the new users on how to roll a joint. How to use that vape pen you just bought. How to do just about everything. This will take time, but please keep checking.
Cannabis has been around for thousands of years and used for medicine for just as long. But I feel like because of our federal restrictions on cannabis as a medicine, many people don't know how to use the medicine they are now recommended to use.
More is coming I promise. If you want to start now, join me on Instagram @cannalovelea
where you can read canna-reviews on products available in dispensaries in northern California.
Thank you for your interest in raw cannabis juicing, and keep researching and please try and grow your own cannabis for juicing. I believe the proof is in the juice. You and to try it to believe.
Peace~ The cannacritic

This raw cannabis juice blog has changed and gotten a new look!!

Thank you everyone who has read my blog over the years about raw cannabis juicing, I hope it has provided you with good information over the years. I am changing my focus of this blog, giving cannabis users cannabis reviews and critiques on new cannabis products available in the cannabis industry. I will be leaving all the information about raw juicing for those who are looking for that knowledge. Please continue to read my new blog about new cannabis products. This is a brave new world out here in the California cannabis industry. It's growing and changing and developing everyday. My hopes is to provide a blog were people can get information about these new products.
After spending over 6 years as a budtender in Sonoma county, educating patients on which products might work best for them, I am taking my skills to social media and beyond to spread the word about different cannabis products. There are going to be a lot of different products coming out that are not the quality they should be, so please educate yourself about the cannabis you are consuming.
If you don't know ask someone, the budtender you are purchasing from should have mad knowledge on all the products they carry. You can google everything! and I even check Youtube for how to videos, Yes, even how to roll a joint! But it's my hopes that this blog can give good solid cannabis reviews to say people time and money.
Please check back in down the road and see how this cannablog is blossoming.

Follow your dreams! Learn, Use and Love cannabis.

Over the years of me being a cannabis 215 patient here in California, I have been blessed with gaining skills and knowledge on everything cannabis I could learn. From growing cannabis for myself and sick patients, to being a California budtender and patient consultant for over 6 years. I have learned to infuse and teach others how to infuse cannabis into anything and everything we can think of. I have been given the opportunity to work with the very sick, patient with chronic illness, even cancer teaching them the ways cannabis may work best for them and their specific needs.
Over the years I have been blessed to start a small cannabis company providing medicine for a local dispensary. From cookies and brownies to cannabis infused tinctures, infused drinks and topicals our little coop provides quality medicine at reasonable prices. Through all these experiences I have learned what I do best is share the love and knowledge about cannabis. I recently became the IG cannacritic, doing reviews on the latest cannabis products in California and I want to continue and expand this here on my blog. For several years I wrote and shared info on raw cannabis juicing and I will continue to provide information on the benefits of raw cannabis, but I want this blog to be so much more. I want to provide all of you information on the best cannabis, the new products to try, review these products and give critiques. Please stay tuned and continue to read my blog.
Thank you for your support and Love.!
Peace~ The cannacritic

Tis the outdoor growing season, will this be the year you start raw cannabis juicing?

2015 outdoor gardening season is upon us. So, once again if you are interested in trying out raw cannabis juice, this is the best time of year to do it. Even if you only put your cannabis plants outside for juicing only purposes, utilizing the shade leaves, small buds you pull off when caring for your plant, I juice all of that. I also encourage people to tell their friends about their interest in raw juicing, and you may be surprised at who can help you out with raw leaves. Most people and grower still just throw away bags and bags of big leaves and small buds up until harvest, and this juice can be vital for so many patients. Especially if you believe in cannabinoid deficiency, where patients need more cannabinoids to keep their receptors active. And for some patients who are really really sick, for mostly unexplained reasons by the medical community, when then try juicing raw cannabis buds and leaves, they feel better. They get better.
I did my 40 day raw cannabis juice challenge and then do it again during the outdoor growing season for my chronic inflammation. What I notice is the more raw cannabis juice I drank the better my joints, and muscle and all around inflammation was decreased by a lot. I felted not high but a little bit of euphoria. I could tell when I used my  High  CBD plants I did feel the cannabis juice more, than just using any kind of cannabis. But I also have, used what ever raw safe medicine I could.
So while some might say, you must have an auto flowering high CBD strain to raw juice, I would say that would be nice, but not necessary. Getting a High CBD strain or clone would be really nice, and optimal, but not necessary to see if raw cannabis juice helps your aliments.
Because, the THC acid is not heated or decarboxilated in raw juicing, the patients will not get the High that the THC can produce. So people who do not want to get high or have their children get high may want to consider growing and using the raw cannabis as their medicine.
I would love to say that it's like spinach, go into the nearest dispensary and ask for a bag of raw leaves and off you go. NO! I have heard of one in the whole state of California that has raw cannabis for their patients. The dispensary that I work in, considered it and we were concerned will knowing how to make sure the raw cannabis was clean and safe from pesticides  and disease especially since it is being drank. And there is for some the question and safety of drinking  leaves that may not be safe. Then making sure they are safe for patients.
For now! I say Grow your own medicine, and use the leaves and small bud and shoot if you have it, the larger buds at harvest for your raw juicing.  And If you are a raw cannabis juice user only, you can juice up what you need and freeze them in ice cube trays for long term storage over the winter months when fresh product maybe hard to find.
In ending, every year I write about raw juicing, and every year I keep reading more and more on the subject, but no one is bringing raw product to the patients. And very little growers are willing to share the raw leaves and buds that are needed. I just pray that one day, between having high CBD hemp leaves, and more people willing to share their extra raw cannabis the more raw cannabis juicing will grow.
Until then I will keep writing and sharing other articles on the benefits of raw cannabis!

The "New cure" cannabis paste! WHAT IS THAT???

I have had the blessing to work in the cannabis community for almost 10 years now.
I started with growing my own medicine and being blessed to provide some extra products to help
other patients in our collective. From growing my own medicine, I then was given my next blessing a job a my local dispensary, where I still work today.
Over the years I have watched cannabis bloom into a legitimate economy.
And during this time, I have been able to create, play, develop was to use cannabis beyond smoking it.
Today I want to blog about Cannabis paste.
I have my first batch slowing cooking on my stove top as we speak.
It seems that for the last oh 2-3 years now, it seems to me, it's all about RSO ~Rick Simpson Oil~
Long and the short, is that Rick Simpson is a Man, who discovered for his own personal melanoma cancer that concentrated amount of cannabis oil cured his cancer. I have used RSO, I teach others to use it and YES! I have tried to making small batches (out of Olive oil due to my Fear of Blowing up with Butane) The issue's with RSO are Mostly how dangerous it can be to make it, but also now new findings are saying the chemicals used to make the RSO oil, can potentially be stripping out the vital Cannabinoids cannabis contains.
For Years, I have wondered "why change a perfect plant?, why isolate certain cannabinoids?"
So, after reading an article about this "new cure" aka cannabis paste, which the company who is making this product, speaks about cannabis paste being made and used for 2000 years! So, Not so a "New cure" in my book but, It is definitely worth making, trying and blogging about!
CANNABIS PASTE!
It's amazing simple to make! and the real benefit is you don't waste any of the plant matter, or leave any beneficial cannabinoids to become trash. So if you start with 1 pound of cannabis, you will still have 1 pound of PASTE left!! Unlike Cannabis oil AKA RSO where that pound turns into about 60-90 grams so about (2-3 ounces total)
Cannabis Past Instructions on making:
Take 2 oz. coconut Oil, take 2 oz. food grade vegetable glycerin and 1/2 oz Organic Cannabis BUD!
(Not shake! but big Buds that you will grind into a fine powder, I recommend a coffee grinder just for your cannabis)
What kind of cannabis?
That is up to you really! Today I am making a 50/50 THC:CBD BLEND. Ultimately I want to be able to design specific ratios of THC to CBD to make sure I am getting at least both those cannabinoids. I wish I could tell you like here in California to just go down to your local dispensary and ask for some High CBD strains of cannabis, but I have researched that so many legal medical marijuana states do not have high CBD cannabis strains to offer their patients. Sadly for those patients who are children, and getting as little THC as possible is super important to their parents and doctors recommending cannabis as a medicinal option.
Make sure you grind the cannabis buds up as fine as possible (above I speak about getting and using a coffee grinder) and pick out any stick left, they can sometimes aggravate people with sensitive stomachs.
Take a ball jar, I like a 8 oz one. (use can use larger or smaller depending on your batch)
add the oil, glycerin and finely ground cannabis to the ball jar with a tight lid.
Have a pot with 5 inches of hot water, place the ball jar in the water bath and cook on a med heat for 15-20 minutes, then reduce the temperature to low or #1 setting on your stove and cook down over 10.5 hours. This can be done in your oven especially if making several ball jars of it at one time. bake on lowest temp. 170/175 and bake for 6-8 hours, its done when liquids are gone and it's now a paste consistency. I have empty capsules that I buy at the health  food market to keep the paste off my teeth!
Dosing:
I have read you should start with a half a pea size twice a day to begin with. If this is too much, back off if you can tolerate more, take more next time. The articles I read said people work up to 2 grams a day (used throughout the day) if you are using High CBD cannabis you may be able to consume more sooner than later.
So why use this paste?
I am going to try it for two main reasons, that I spoke about earlier.
No nasty chemicals to worry about eating and consuming over long periods of time, even if there is only residual amounts of chemicals left.
But More importantly, I love the fact that I am not getting rid of any of the cannabis bud! it's ground up, made into paste and consumed. This cannabis paste is a new concept, although one I have been dreaming about for years. A product that can be eaten, capped up and swallowed, put on your skin if wanted too and it's the whole bud! Nothing is stripped away! All THC and vital Cannabinoids are in the paste, ready to help your body with it's benefits.
Are you still a little confused?
It's understandable! Really, it is mind boggling to me, how much cannabis products have grown and changed just in the last 5 years. So it basically is this... Have you been reading it is all about the RSO! for everything, it cure cancer, and illness. It helps with pain and PTSD. YES! it's does, but it can be SUPER DANGEROUS! made with some serious chemicals.. SO this PASTE!! is another options, that cannabis historians say has been made for thousands of years! They would take cannabis in clay pots heat it slowly in the hot sun for long periods of time, they added essential oils of their times.
So for me!!! I am think why change something that worked for 2000+ years!
So if you have chronic pain, nausea, cancer, MS, PTSD, muscle spasm and all the issues that cannabis helps!!! Why not make up a batch of cannabis paste and start eating it?
I know as soon as my 10.5 hours is up, I will be!
HAPPY CANNABIS PASTING
any questions?? Don't hesitate to let me know!
~PEACE
and BLESS OUR MIRICLE PLANT.

will raw cannabis juice ever really catch on?

The answer should be "Yes" and Loudly too. But more honestly, having endless supply of raw leaves and buds seem to be trending towards a big fat NO!
Growers throw away the materials we juice and the dispensaries (here in California) need to find a safe clean and non-toxic/pestiside and mold free materials for patients to juice.
Raw juicing is amazing and can give patients many wonderful benefits, especially decreasing inflammation. and almost everything that is wrong with us ends in a "itis" meaning inflamed area somewhere. The raw leaves are non psychoactive so a patient will not feel the high of using smoked cannabis.
BUT WE NEED PEOPLE LIKE YOU AND ME, TO BEG THE GROWERS OF THE WORLD to share their leaves and inmature buds. PLEASE STOP THROWING THEM AWAY. please please let patients know you have them. I hear some people sell raw materials to dying cancer patients, and I don't know how to even start to express the need to GIVE DYING PEOPLE FREE MEDICINE!!
but that is a topic for another day. I say, GROW YOUR OWN IF YOU CAN. even a one light set up can produce you all the leaves you will need. And if you live in a medical cannabis state, ask everyone you know to share not toss your medicine away. Teaching growers that we want their trash, shouldn't be to hard, in that they use to toss most of their trim, and now that trim is a multimillion dollar  bubble hash industry.
WE NEED TO SPEAK, we NEED TO SHOUT! we need to educate others on RAW CANNABIS JUICING!!! in hopes that one day, everyone world wide will have access to raw cannabis juicing.

Peace!

Plant your own cannabis juice garden for yourself!

It's March 1st 2015  If you are going to grow your cannabis garden from seeds, it time to get started, Yes for an outdoor garden. If you are going to use clones, it's time to start (if you haven't already decided) what strains you want to grow. Or have access too. For those of you with  low weather conditions I really recommend using a green house, you can even pinterest it and find how to build a green house for $100. It is quiet easy, amazing and you don't have to deal with the lack of heat or sun, plus if designed right, you can remove or pull pack the plastic for fresh air, and less humidity. Also, if you have access to hail bails, constructing a green house for your cannabis garden can not only add height to your garden but also it builds a great base!  If most of you are like ME, I ran out of  Fresh leaves and buds months ago, but have bee blessed to have enough frozen from fresh cannabis at the end of the season. Where I then made juice, frozen them in ice cube trays and pull  out the fresh juice cube I need each day. It works, well too. But I miss my fresh leaves and fresh buds I like to add to our juicing program.
Like I have spoken about before the hardest part about raw cannabis juicing is having access to the raw shade leaves and raw buds that are vital to continue your raw cannabis juice program.
I want to shout from the hill tops, grab every patient I can and share with them "RAW CANNABIS JUICE IS the BEST", non psychoactive,  with the MOST incredible anti-inflammatory properties. I swear I can feel the body aches and pain even chronic pain too start to leave my body with in minutes of raw juicing. But UNLESS YOU GROW IT, IT'S ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO HAVE ENOUGH ACCESS TO IT, SADLY! Last  year, I was able to convince the perfect person I know the get into Raw cannabis juicing. A CANNABIS FARMER !!! Farmer's more often than not throw away their big shade leaves, and even little immature buds as they are developing. This is what we need to juice. He even called me later in the season, truly amazed how his neck and shoulder pain was gone! He had convinced others to start juicing too and would  to tell me all about the amazing benefits they were having from, no aches and pains to  their increased amounts of energy. While you do not get HIGH with raw cannabis juicing many people have mentioned a euphoric feeling. I agree, I love my raw juice it make me not only feel happy, but healthy and inflammation feels less from my head to my toes. Dr. Wm. Courtney talks about how our bodies have cannabinoid receptors throughout our bodies, and he also speaks on how many people are cannabinoid defiant. After continuing juicing raw cannabis for 6 months straight every single day, I have to say, I felt the juice as it was injected, charge my body. Decrease it's pain, increase it's energy and boost my euphoria. Which brings me back to Your raw cannabis Juice garden. I am challenging all of my readers this season to please start talking to growers, cannabis users, anyone cannabis friendly about the need for raw leaves, raw buds so we can juice it. and if you can at all (even if only grown in buckets on your porch) GROW A CANNABIS JUICING GARDEN. Grow as many as you legally can, and start juicing as soon as your garden is producing leaves. And Yes, when I am to the harvesting point and even before I JUICE THE BUDS! I think juicing the raw buds gives the strongest most potent parts of the plant. However, I do juice all the leaves, shade leaves, young stems that can be juiced. I don't let anything I can go to waste. I challenge all of you to try a 40 day raw cannabis juice challenge. I challenge you to get out and grow your own medicine. The more people who not only read my blog on how to do it, it's benefit that actually GROW A GARDEN AND JUICE IT. Is the only way that this raw cannabis juicing thing and movement, with become a regular part and availability to patients who want to try raw cannabis juicing. Unfortunately, because this is still new to the cannabis community there is still a missing piece where patients don't have access to this amazing plant in raw form. People don't share or give leaves that they would compost or throw away. SO, I SHOUT!!! GROW YOUR OWN. and START JUICING.

2015 is the year for raw cannabis juicing!

Several new states have now joined Colorado, and Washington in legalizing cannabis for recreational use. Oregon, Alaska, and Washington D.C. will be joining them. And medicinal states are growing by leaps and bounds, we have passed the tipping point on having more medicinal marijuana states than not. This is fantastic, amazing and I see How my struggles, our struggles with getting raw cannabis juice to patient and people wanting to try it, will be getting easier.
But raw cannabis juicing needs you help!
If you are interested in juicing you medicine, having continual access to raw fresh, organic leaves, that are also safe and pesticide free we need you to start talking about it.
Asking questions if you live in medical states and are medical patients, start asking for the big shade leaves, (most growers throw them away along the growing process) If you live in states where legal Cannabis can be grown, ask grower and dispensaries to carry fresh leaves you can juice yourself.
And if you now live in a state where recreationally legal, or medically legal do what you laws allow to grow you own medicine. and Juice it. Growing your own medicine allows you to insure you are getting safe pesticide free raw cannabis.
I have worked on this blog for almost two years now, continuing to share the knowledge of raw cannabis juicing, it's benefits and continue to struggle with how to get patients these vital leaves.
Now, with the new legalization of Hemp in several state in the US, Raw Hemp Leaves can also be used to gain the CBD people want. Remember Cannabis does not activate the THC in the plant, so eating it or drinking it raw, you wont get high.
I started my  40 day raw cannabis juices challenge to see if I felt different. I knew within in days that my body was feeling better. I believe raw cannabis juice it one of the best natural inflammatory on the planet. I pray one day the world will have access to it's benefit.
HAPPY 2015!
Happy raw cannabis juicing.
CHEERS!!!!
